Coping with Life's Challenges

This long-running group for adults over 40 provides a safe place to explore and share thoughts and feelings related to:

  • work and retirement

  • caring for children and for parents

  • loss and growth in love and marriage

  • healing from difficult childhood experiences.

Group meets on Zoom each Monday from 7 pm to  8:15 pm.

Cost is $80 per session.

2

Getting into the "Here and Now"

This established group for people over 40 provides members with the experience of sharing and learning in the immediacy of the "here and now."

Of course, people bring their present lives into the group, and we reflect on the way the past influences and limits our present liveliness and vitality. But here we use the feelings and thoughts evoked by other members in the immediate session as a window into our own unconscious difficulties with knowing our true selves and troubles with sharing openly and honestly our vulnerable selves.

This group experience helps members to grow in empathy, patience, care and concern for people near and dear, and for people far away and very different.

The group meets Tuesdays from 7 pm to 8:15 pm on Zoom.

Cost is $80 per session.

Mid-life Men's Group

This  group is currently forming, with a start-date in the Fall of 2024.

This group is for men in middle age, when the answers that have worked to get here start to wear out.

  • What does love and masculinity look like now, at this time of life?

  • What does it take, and what is it like, to have a satisfying and honest sexual life?

  • How do we go beyond self-reliance and competition to make and keep friends in mid-life?

  • Where can we talk honestly about a body that is getting older?

  • What do we do with the disappointments and regrets of middle age?

  • When can men talk meaningfully about loneliness and fear?

This  group will run for 75 minutes, from 7 to 8:15 pm

in person at my Framingham office

Cost is $80 per sesson.
